At Puddleduck we are excited about our new Musical Ducks program.  It is a new, music orientated playgroup.

 

The benefits of involving children in musical activities are immense.  These include:

• Enhances children’s language development
• Aids listening, concentration and memory skills
• Improves social skills by sharing, turn taking, peer interactions, being part of a group
• Enhances cognitive development
• Action songs, instruments and dancing aid in the development of gross and fine motor skills and body awareness
• Boost self esteem, self image and sense of accomplishment
• Inspires creativity and imagination and a new way of self expression
• Music is fun and activities that are fun open the brain to learning!
• A music playgroup requires activity, interaction and participation not just sitting and passive listening.

Musical Ducks is run by Elizabeth: a highly qualified, professional music teacher and musician .Along with a large array of exciting musical instruments, drums, bells, ribbons and gongs, Elizabeths' program opens up the world of sound, rhythm, music and movement to children.

 

Sessions are held during school terms.  On Fridays 9.30 – 10 o’clock is for the 0-3 year olds and 11-11.30  is for 3-5 year olds.
