Privacy Policy
Confidentiality
All Italian-Australian Pensioner Association of Tasmania members, workers
and volunteers shall ensure that each client’s rights to privacy and
confidentiality are respected, and he or she has access to their personal
information held by the agency.
The IAPAT:

Shall respect that client’s personal information, unless expressly
agreed, is to be kept confidential between the client and the
individual concerned

Shall respect the right of clients to choose to disclose or withhold
information as they see fit

Are obliged to inform clients should anything disclosed constitute a
breach of law or violate professional or personal ethics.
The client must be informed that the matter may have to be reported to
the relevant authority will obtain client’s authorisation for
information to be shared with other agencies or a third party (written
consent form) shall ensure that written confidential materials and
records are appropriately secured. These records might include case
notes, and appointment cards and

are made available to the client when and if requested.
